Pecado e Desejo
[Sin and Desire]

"Pecado e Desejo (Sin and Desire)" was the graduation performance of Viviane Juguero at the Faculty of Performing Arts. After studying Nelson Rodrigues's entire work, the artist sought to present an "Archetypal Synthesis of the Rodriguean Woman." The dramaturgy was built through the collage of fragments of texts by Nelson Rodrigues and featured the characters Virgínia, from the play "Anjo Negro (Black Angel)"; Tia Rute, from the play "Álbum de Família (Family album)" and Moema, from the play "Senhora dos Afogados (Lady of the Drowned)." The work was presented in the theaters Alziro Azevedo and Álvaro Moreyra, in 1999.
